More than thirty years ago Ed Hughes and Charles Fairall purchased Central Distributing and started H&F Distributing. In 1985 our parent company, Ft. Dodge Distributing Co., Inc. was started in Fort Dodge, IA. Today our business has grown from distributing two brands of beer, Schlitz and Old Milwaukee, to the distribution of Miller, Coors, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and a large portfolio of domestic, craft, imported, and specialty adult beverages.
Our president and CEO, Dean Allen Fogarty, Jr. is proud that our company is locally owned and operated with offices in Marshalltown, and Ft. Dodge. We distribute to more than a dozen counties in central Iowa and employ more than thirty people. We contribute millions of dollars to the local economy, reduce, reuse, and recycle an amazing 400,000 pounds of aluminum, over 1,000,000 pounds of cardboard, and another 2,000,000 pounds of glass each year.
We look forward to bringing the best selection of fine craft, domestic, and imported beverages to the shelves of local retailers, and to the coolers of favorite taverns... We fully recognize that the future is now!
